for Facebook and Instagram competitions
The topic of data protection is very important to us. The following therefore includes information about how we process your personal data in connection with the Facebook and Instagram competition and what rights you have:
Data controller with responsibility for data processing
If you participate in a competition initiated via the Facebook page or the Instagram page of Leading Spa Resorts, the data controller is also Leading Spa Resorts:

Scope and purpose of data processing
If you enter a competition via the Leading Spa Resorts Facebook or Instagram page, we will first process the following data:
- public Facebook and Instagram profile information, incl. username
- submitted Facebook and Instagram comment (text and image)
We process the participants’ personal data for the purpose of conducting the competition, including to determine whether you are eligible to participate and to determine and notify the winners. If you do not provide us with the abovementioned data, you will not be able to participate in the competition or be contacted with notification of any prize you may have won.
If you have won a prize as part of the prize draw/judge’s decision, we will send you a message via Facebook or Instagram asking you to contact us by email. We need to process the following data in order to send you the prize:
- Full name
- Email address
- Address
This data is processed exclusively for the purpose of sending the prize. If you do not provide us with the abovementioned data, we will not be able to send you the prize.
Legal basis of the data processing
The sole purpose of the data processing is to carry out the competition. The legal basis for the processing of personal data to fulfil this obligation is therefore Art. 6 (1) (b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Recipients of the personal data
As a matter of principle, your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless the disclosure is necessary for the implementation of the competition or the dispatch of the prize and the transmission is authorised under data protection law.
Additionally, Leading Spa Resorts uses other service providers to process personal data, including for sending emails, storing your data in a secure data centre and maintaining and analysing databases.
All commissioned processors have been carefully selected, support Leading Spa Resorts strictly in accordance with instructions and are only given access to your data to the extent and for the period required to provide the services.
Duration of data storage
Your data processed as part of the competition will generally be deleted within 14 days after the end of the competition.
Rights of data subjects
You can contact us at the above address to request information about the data stored about you. Furthermore, you can request the correction or deletion of your data. You may also have a right to restrict the processing of your data and a right to receive the data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
Right of appeal
