Built largely with materials from the surrounding area, the passive house with its floor-to-ceiling glazing blends harmoniously into the landscape. In the restaurant with sun terrace, you can enjoy culinary delights - regional, seasonal and freshly prepared - with a magnificent panoramic view and accompanied by wines from the hotel's own wine cellar. At the hotel bar you can end the day with cocktails and gin and rum specialties . The library with forest view and the wellness garden at the edge of the forest invite you to browse and relax. A lockable bicycle storage room , an e-charging station (for a fee), elevator and free parking at the house complete the offer. WLAN is available free of charge. Pets are not allowed.

Catering
Half board: Gourmet breakfast buffet with regional products and delicious egg dishes, afternoon wellness buffet in the restaurant between 13.00h and 16.00h, multi-course evening menu - choose from to to 5-course from the daily changing menu including vegetarian and vegan options. Food allergies and intolerances can be catered for if ordered in advance.
Regionality and seasonality are in the product selection in the kitchen in the foreground . The products used come in part from our own certified organic farm.

Wellness
The MentalSpa resort offers a paradise of peace and regeneration on over 700m². In the wellness area, which extends over two floors, you will find an indoor pool (approx. 30°C) with panoramic views, a sauna area with Finnish sauna, panorama sanarium, infrared sauna, brine and aroma steam bath and foot Kneipp pool as well as a relaxation room with tea bar and towels for free use. From the spa area you have direct access to the wellness garden on the edge of the Fritschen forest.

SPA Treatments
For a fee: Soothing or invigorating massages, skin-tightening treatments, relaxing body treatments and individual personal training sessions are optimally tailored to your needs with mental and health treatments on . Based on the four themes
"Mountain - Lake - Forest - Meadow", the range extends from massages such as full-body massages, including with warm and iced stones, herbal stamps and bee-gold honey, aroma massages, foot massage, back massage and head massage to full-body wraps and peelings, including detox wrap with salt mud and relaxation wrap with fango, to various bathing rituals - alone or as a couple. The offer is complemented by facial treatments for him and her, well ageing treatments as well as manicures and pedicures.

Health
For a fee: The OASE Health Model© by Diana Sicher-Fritsch MSc is a holistic concept that helps people to reduce the tension between stress and resilience. It combines classic wellness & health treatments with psychosocial counseling from various fields, such as mental & systemic coaching, psychological counseling, life & business counseling, burnout prevention, as well as nutrition & exercise training. In addition, health, resilience and regeneration measurements are carried out using medical biofeedback, e.g. in the area of heart rate variability (HRV), sleep apnea measurement, as well as training in the area of regeneration, including respiratory sinus arrhythmia, breathing training and mental, emotional and physical relaxation training. The aim of is to sustainably improve the quality of life with individual and personalized short-term interventions in the protected setting of a wellness vacation in a relaxed atmosphere.

Mediterranean flora and a touch of Caribbean flair to immerse yourself in: The new 27 metre long, heated natural pool with its crystal clear water makes it possible! Then there is the new Spa Sensea on the 1st floor. With the best views of Lake Kaltern and its mountain and wine-growing hills, you can stretch out in the indoor and outdoor pool. Then work up a sweat with the legendary daily sauna infusions. Or sunbathe by the lake. The hotel offers two private lake access points. SUP paddle and pedalo hire included. After sport, relax your muscles with a variety of treatments in the award-winning Ninfea Spa.

Sport meets culture: yoga by the lake, herb hikes, winery tours. The weekly programme offers a wide range of activities for everyone. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the bike tours, yoga sessions or the extensive fitness programme in the well-equipped gym. The weekly hikes to the family's old farm and the wine tastings in the old stone cellar are a must-do. The “Törggelen” with roasted chestnuts and new wine is also famous.

Agriculture meets luxury: unique farm-to-table concept at SEELEITEN. It's not just that the award-winning gourmet cuisine at the SEELEITEN conjures up the freshest regional specialities on your plate. No, the luxury hotel also has its own farm with fruit, vegetable and wine growing, as well as its own wine cellar with excellent wines and an integrated craft brewery. Weekly guided tours and tastings with the cellar master, vineyard tours with the senior chef and gala evenings in the gourmet restaurant offer deep insights into viticulture, beer production, agriculture and the art of South Tyrolean cuisine.

In the morning the sun rises over the peaks, in the evening the lights sparkle in the valley. In this absolute top location on a sun-drenched south-facing slope above Burgeis, every corner of DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat opens up views that you will never forget, just like the warm, down-to-earth hospitality of the owner family Gerstl.

At 1,500 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy pleasant temperatures even in the warmer months, while relaxing in the open air on box seats by the 18-meter-long, year-round heated infinity pool, on cosy day beds or in the outdoor whirlpool in the sauna garden. Relax, read a good book, take a dip in one of the pools, let your gaze and thoughts wander - all of this is possible at Hotel Gerstl.

The exclusive suites also invite you to do nothing. The new 60 square meter pool suite with a private infinity pool and whirlpool, a large veranda and its own garden for undisturbed togetherness is certainly a special experience. The pleasant vacation feeling of lightness and light-heartedness spreads at the latest during a floating aperitif in the cool water.

If you do want to leave the retreat, there are hikes to nearby Switzerland, mountain bike trails, irrigation canals along historic irrigation channels or a visit to the smallest town in the Southern Alps: the medieval town of Glurns. The Gerstl team also offers daily guided excursions, from guided e-bike tours to joint forest bathing.

After a day full of activities and fresh mountain air, the evening ends with a delicious, multi-course meal. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.

The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.
