Indulgence is a top priority at the Good Life Resort Riederalm: Look forward to culinary delights created by host and head chef Andreas Herbst using regional and seasonal ingredients. His creative, experimental cuisine has already been awarded one Michelin star, one Green Michelin star and four Gault&Millau toques; Andreas Herbst is also a member of the renowned "Jeunes Restaurateurs d' Europe" association.

Its secluded location at 700 meters provides the necessary distance from everyday life. Up here, surrounded by meadows and forests and a few scattered old farms, the clocks go slower. It's as if the good old days are hiding up here. You can forget the hustle and bustle and stress, they don't come up here. The Watzmann outside shows us how it's done - calmly reminding us of what's really important in life: Taking time for yourself and your loved ones. "The best times in life are the little moments when you feel that you are in the right place at the right time," is the Alpenhof motto.

At the 4-star superior hotel, you are always in the right place. This starts with the hut-style reception. Of course, the hotel has modern card keys, but there are still a few of the beautiful old key rings with the family crest hanging on the hooks. Tradition combined with modern comfort is how you could describe the style of the Alpenhof. This can also be seen in the Almbar, which has much of what is commonly understood by Bavarian coziness. The restaurant area is more elegant. Here you can enjoy the sumptuous breakfast buffet and the magnificent view outside. In the evening, there are various menus to choose from.

The comfort rooms are designed in a variety of ways, sometimes in a modern, sometimes in a classic country house style. The feel-good Sauna-Alm is really rustic, as the sauna area is reminiscent of cozy alpine huts and Stad'l. The infrared cabin made of Swiss stone pine provides gentle deep warmth, the steam bath is filled with wonderful brine and herbal mist and perhaps the best thing to do after a sauna session in the Hütt'n sauna with a view of the valley in winter is to rub yourself down with powder snow in the sheltered outdoor area. Afterwards, you can retreat to the relaxation rooms, which are designed like tunnels in a salt mine or old barns, where you can relax wonderfully. The adjoining wellness oasis offers an all-round pampering program. The various massages and treatments provide true wellness pleasure. In addition to classic massages, there are Far Eastern SPA massages, Ayurveda massages and special massages for expectant mothers. The cosmetics department uses the organic cosmetics line from Dr. Spiller, an effective skincare line from the region.

Next door in the indoor pool, you should definitely take a leisurely lap on your back and take a look at the hand-carved wooden ceiling. This ancient carpentry technique is no longer found very often. Small carvings on the pillars look very elegant - which is typical of the Alpenhof. Tradition meets modernity and rustic meets elegant. In the outdoor pool, hot meets cold, at least when it's winter and you can swim through the snow-covered landscape. The outdoor pool is heated to a pleasant 30°C all year round, as is the pleasantly warm 37°C whirlpool.

Afterwards, you can lie down in the sun pavilion, look out over the meadows and forests to the mountain peaks and relax. Here, unwinding becomes a tangible reality. And if you haven't had enough exercise while hiking, you're sure to find it in the fitness room with Techno-Gym equipment. Behind the Alpenhof is the Zapletal family. While Stefan Zapletal looks after the hotel with its 52 rooms, his wife Gabi, a trained chef, is in charge of the kitchen. But the most important thing for both of them is their staff. "We provide the frame, our employees paint the picture," says Stefan Zapletal, who is happy to have such a strong team. After all, guests should simply feel at home in this beautiful hotel in the midst of glorious nature.

An established hotel: the Riedlberg has been owned by the Graßl and Mühlbauer families since 1912 and has been carefully expanded from a small mountain inn to a 4-star superior wellness hotel, yet has remained manageable with 58 rooms and suites.

The SPA center provides wide diversity of internal and external mineral pools, having different temperature, a special section for children, modern hydromassages, as well as a salt pool for relaxation.
All of the pools are supplied with rich thermal mineral water extracted from 1200m depth, which has a beneficial effect on the skin as calming and anti-inflammatory effects and helps restoring vitality and health.

The traditional building from 1446 has been 90 percent renovated in recent years - the popular historic corners of the Parkhotel Adler, such as the parlor in the "Adler Stuben" restaurant, have been preserved. Countless locations on the 70,000 square meter estate with a small lake invite you to linger in comfort. These include the stylish hotel lobby with integrated bar and conservatory, the sunny restaurant terrace and the benches in the park with woodland and duck pond.

The park of the boutique resort hotel proves to be a rare refuge. It also forms the green backdrop for the modern glass construction of the wellness pavilion and the outdoor pool area with lounge and sunbathing lawn. Relax in the bright indoor and outdoor lounging areas of the wellness area or in the hip outdoor lounge with a cocktail. Both pools offer views of nature and are heated all year round. The rooms for massages and facial and body treatments have a fresh design. The PureWellness area is managed by experienced make-up artist, beautician and hairdresser Christine Homburger. Choose one of the 64 accommodations in an elegant boutique hotel style - all recently renovated. No two accommodation units in the hotel are the same - some have a balcony or terrace with a view of the greenery. The accommodation is located in different parts of the Black Forest House dating from 1639 or in the Belle Époque main building from the 19th century.

In the five individually designed rooms of the "Adler Stuben" restaurant in the Schwarzwaldhaus, Baden specialties and international seasonal dishes are served - in the very own interpretation of kitchen director and spice sommelier Bernhard König, who comes from the region and is committed to the Slow Food® philosophy. The highlight of the wellness area at the ADLER Thermae are the pools filled with hot thermal water that comes directly from the natural spring of Bagno Vignoni; the water temperature at the spring is around 50° C, but is reduced to 36° C in the pool.

The medical component is becoming increasingly important for ADLER. In addition to balneotherapy, the ADLER Spa Resort THERMAE offers a wide range of high-quality medical services. Guests have the opportunity to have a convenient health check during their vacation without having to leave the resort. In addition to individual doctor visits and consultations, weekly programs for weight loss and nutrition, detoxification, prevention and anti-aging as well as stress management can be booked to restore psychophysical balance and gain new vital energy.
The programs also include professional diagnostic examinations, which are carried out directly in the ADLER analysis laboratory at the hotel. The tests are carried out on site and the results are delivered the same day with a medical report.

CUISINE
The cuisine at ADLER Spa Resort THERMAE is fresh, seasonal and based on high-quality local produce. It creates authentic taste experiences, with a particular focus on well-being. The chefs serve traditional Tuscan dishes as well as original creations every day. The dinner menu offers a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, as well as vegan options on request.
