The Große Walsertal Biosphere Reserve is located in the Austrian province of Vorarlberg and extends in the middle of Vorarlberg in an easterly to north-easterly direction towards the mountainous center of the province. In 2000, the Große Walsertal was designated a model region by UNESCO as a "biosphere park" due to its particularly outstanding and diverse nature. The project, commissioned by the three brothers Andreas, Christian and Alex Goller, represents their dream come true and embodies their passion for hospitality, love of nature and life’s pleasures.

As you can tell by name of the hotel, the amiable hoteliers place particular importance to their land and family: in fact, Santre is a mashup of "San" for Sant’Andrea and "tre" for three brothers.
