Our fitness studio has been equipped with new, professional equipment from Technogym. In the 300 square meter fitness resort you will find 25 stations in the strength area and 15 stations in the cardio area to increase your physical endurance and your personal well-being. Even Aunt Lisl knew that in addition to mountains and well-fluffed pillows, you also need a good meal, a cozy place to relax, an open heart and good food for a really good gut feeling. That was over 70 years ago.
Since then, we as a family have gone many new ways to preserve this special feeling of home and to reinterpret vacation for you. Our wellness and hiking hotel Gassner **** superior has grown out of the small forest guesthouse - and the pretty Gassner tree house too.

As a genuine family business, we are the perfect complement, because we could hardly be more different. Together with our wonderful Gassner Seilschaft, we bring a lot of warmth, charm and life into the hotel. That's probably why so much of our work is so individual and varied.

Are you a true child of nature and just as drawn to the outdoors as we are? Wonderful, because as a member of the best hiking hotels in the Alps, our main aim is to find strength and inspiration in nature all year round.
On at least 5 guided hikes, we, hiking guide Monika and boss Hans-Peter Gassner, would like to introduce you to the diversity of nature in the surrounding mountains, hike with you through blooming alpine pastures and climb over perpetual ice to the region's panoramic peaks.

We would like to accompany you on snowshoe and winter hikes to the idyllic snow-covered places of the Hohe Tauern National Park and show you personally how renewing it can be to walk at eye level with nature.

One of Casa di Fiore SPA & Medical’s prime advantages is the high- quality food, which is prepared from carefully selected products with a guaranteed origin from own farms and other farms within the region.

The SPA center provides wide diversity of internal and external mineral pools, having different temperature, a special section for children, modern hydromassages, as well as a salt pool for relaxation.
All of the pools are supplied with rich thermal mineral water extracted from 1200m depth, which has a beneficial effect on the skin as calming and anti-inflammatory effects and helps restoring vitality and health.

The hot thermal zone with Finnish sauna, Cedar sauna, Aroma sauna, Infrared sauna, steam bath, salt room for children, Kneipp path and relaxation salt room with inovated clima cube is available free of charge to all hotel guests.

At the Medial center the focus is on developing the concept of recovery, wellness and rehabilitation programs. The team of professionals works towards the perfection of a thalassotherapy methodology, as the accent is on climatotherapy with natural factors, mineral water, sea salts and mud bath.

Good wellness location and procedures, offered in the hotel are perfectly combined with azure sea waters and the fine golden sand on the excellently maintained beach area, which is the hottest spot during the summer season and where the colourful beach bar also takes place.

The overall atmosphere of Casa di Fiore SPA & Medical resembles a fairytale green oasis, located right by the seacoast, combining a sophisticated and captivating charm, a feeling for calmness, a full-scale rest and complete relaxation.

In the morning the sun rises over the peaks, in the evening the lights sparkle in the valley. In this absolute top location on a sun-drenched south-facing slope above Burgeis, every corner of DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat opens up views that you will never forget, just like the warm, down-to-earth hospitality of the owner family Gerstl.

At 1,500 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy pleasant temperatures even in the warmer months, while relaxing in the open air on box seats by the 18-meter-long, year-round heated infinity pool, on cosy day beds or in the outdoor whirlpool in the sauna garden. Relax, read a good book, take a dip in one of the pools, let your gaze and thoughts wander - all of this is possible at Hotel Gerstl.

The exclusive suites also invite you to do nothing. The new 60 square meter pool suite with a private infinity pool and whirlpool, a large veranda and its own garden for undisturbed togetherness is certainly a special experience. The pleasant vacation feeling of lightness and light-heartedness spreads at the latest during a floating aperitif in the cool water.

If you do want to leave the retreat, there are hikes to nearby Switzerland, mountain bike trails, irrigation canals along historic irrigation channels or a visit to the smallest town in the Southern Alps: the medieval town of Glurns. The Gerstl team also offers daily guided excursions, from guided e-bike tours to joint forest bathing.

After a day full of activities and fresh mountain air, the evening ends with a delicious, multi-course meal. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.

The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.

Small but perfectly formed, the BalanceSAUNA invites guests to sit back and regenerate.
