His creative, experimental cuisine has already been awarded one Michelin star, one Green Michelin star and four Gault&Millau toques; Andreas Herbst is also a member of the renowned "Jeunes Restaurateurs d' Europe" association.

In the morning the sun rises over the peaks, in the evening the lights sparkle in the valley. In this absolute top location on a sun-drenched south-facing slope above Burgeis, every corner of DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat opens up views that you will never forget, just like the warm, down-to-earth hospitality of the owner family Gerstl.

At 1,500 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy pleasant temperatures even in the warmer months, while relaxing in the open air on box seats by the 18-meter-long, year-round heated infinity pool, on cosy day beds or in the outdoor whirlpool in the sauna garden. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing.
