Even Aunt Lisl knew that in addition to mountains and well-fluffed pillows, you also need a good meal, a cozy place to relax, an open heart and good food for a really good gut feeling. That was over 70 years ago.
Since then, we as a family have gone many new ways to preserve this special feeling of home and to reinterpret vacation for you. Our wellness and hiking hotel Gassner **** superior has grown out of the small forest guesthouse - and the pretty Gassner tree house too.

As a genuine family business, we are the perfect complement, because we could hardly be more different. Together with our wonderful Gassner Seilschaft, we bring a lot of warmth, charm and life into the hotel. That's probably why so much of our work is so individual and varied.

Are you a true child of nature and just as drawn to the outdoors as we are? Wonderful, because as a member of the best hiking hotels in the Alps, our main aim is to find strength and inspiration in nature all year round.
On at least 5 guided hikes, we, hiking guide Monika and boss Hans-Peter Gassner, would like to introduce you to the diversity of nature in the surrounding mountains, hike with you through blooming alpine pastures and climb over perpetual ice to the region's panoramic peaks.

We would like to accompany you on snowshoe and winter hikes to the idyllic snow-covered places of the Hohe Tauern National Park and show you personally how renewing it can be to walk at eye level with nature.

The spacious property has 111 rooms and suites in an impressive Art Nouveau building ensemble. The Gästehaus Halenberg welcomes arrivals in the spacious foyer, whose eye-catcher is God Bacchus, carved out of stone and enthroned above a soothingly rippling fountain. Guests can choose between modern rooms and suites in the Halenberg guest house and the tastefully furnished romantic rooms in the original guest houses. The detached Heimat & SPA Lodges on the mountain offer a very individual and discreet type of vacation.

Like the Gästehaus Halenberg, the SPA Frühlingsplätzchen is named after one of the premium vineyards on the Nahe. Covering an area of approx. 3,500m², the SPA is a wonderful place to relax in Finnish saunas, a bio sauna, steam baths, an indoor pool and whirlpool as well as five differently designed relaxation rooms. The wellness offer is complemented by outdoor attractions such as the Hubertus sauna, the 20-metre-long heated outdoor pool and the SPA garden by the river. In 2020, the exclusive Prana SPA celebrated its opening. It is dedicated to the "activation of energy centers", individual chakra work, meditation and aerial yoga.

The multi-award-winning wellness resort in the heart of Rhineland-Palatinate owes its fame not least to its exquisite cuisine: in addition to the Villa restaurant and the Hermannshof gourmet restaurant, the Jungborn attracts guests from near and far. The hotel, newly opened in May 2022, welcomes wine lovers as well as families and business guests. SCHEIBLHOFER THE RESORT offers 118 rooms and suites of various sizes, from the spacious Superior Room to the luxurious Presidential Suite. Enjoyment is a top priority in the in-house restaurant "INFINITY". Mainly products from Burgenland are used, with which regional and international dishes are reinterpreted. The culinary offer is rounded off with an excellent selection of wines, with the walk-in vinotheque being a special highlight.

In the morning the sun rises over the peaks, in the evening the lights sparkle in the valley. After a day full of activities and fresh mountain air, the evening ends with a delicious, multi-course meal. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.

The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.
