Europe's greenest hotel is in South Tyrol: on the trail of sustainability
In 2023, the climate-positive Naturhotel Leitlhof was awarded the title of "Europe's Leading Green Hotel" for the fourth time and can once again call itself an official "climate partner". The hotel also meets the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. The commitment to nature and climate protection includes the energy supply with its own wood-fired combined heat and power plant, electric car charging stations and local suppliers.

South Tyrolean slow food in its most original form
The cuisine at Naturhotel Leitlhof is sustainable, regional and seasonal. The chefs use freshly picked herbs from their own garden to refine their dishes. The nearby farm "Mühlhof", which also belongs to the Mühlmann family, provides the hotel with many types of vegetables and potatoes from its own fields. These ingredients are used to cover all the kitchen requirements. The high-quality meat also comes directly from the farm - from the hotel's own Angus cattle farm.

The trails into the world-famous Sesto Dolomites start right outside the door. By bike and train through Val Pusteria/Pustertal
Val Pusteria/Pustertal in the north-east of South Tyrol is a paradise for two-wheeled enthusiasts thanks to its numerous attractive routes, some of which even cross borders. Inaugurated in 2008, the hotel was renovated in collaboration with the designers of the Botturi architectural firm, using high-quality, prestigious materials and furnishings by the most renowned contemporary designers.

The restoration work highlights the beautiful Italian post-Renaissance style: the frescoed walls, the precious marble stones, the barrel vaults and the wooden beamed ceilings.
