The ****S wellness hotel is a retreat for adults only, where the needs of guests aged 16 and over who are looking for relaxation are catered for. Nestled in the gentle hills of the thermal and volcanic region, you are very close to nature and the region invites you to actively explore. Here the golf adventure calls and the thermal water splashes relaxedly in front of you.
The perfect place for a romantic break for two, an active holiday for nature lovers or a wellness weekend with your best friends. An ideal place for your business event. Because in the SPA RESORT STYRIA you will find the perfect working environment for seminars and conferences.
REALLY relaxing – the GOLD SPA
Feel the lightness of being when you are carried on your hands by the healing thermal water, take a sauna in the pleasant warmth or swim lengths in the outdoor sports pool. In the Gold SPA you can quickly switch to relaxation mode. On an area of around 2500m2, surrounded by a garden landscape, you will find a wellness and sauna area that invites you to relax and switch off with cozy relaxation rooms, a spacious, shady sunbathing lawn and a panorama lounge. For a pampering program from head to toe, put yourself in the "golden hands" of the experts and enjoy an individual facial treatment, a relaxing massage or a wonderfully nourishing body pack with maximum effectiveness.
REALLY enjoyable
Culinary moments of happiness are part of a successful holiday. That's why the chefs at the SPA RESORT STYRIA really cook, bake and roast their guests. Always fresh, prepared with time and love. Traditional recipes from the best regional ingredients, creatively interpreted and tasted internationally. The kitchen team at the Spa Resort Styria pampers the palate of its guests with a rich breakfast buffet and delicious 6-course gourmet menus or an extra portion of romance with a candlelight dinner. For a snack and a sweet treat in between or a refreshing drink after a sauna session, the best thing to do is lean back in the golden berths in the SPA BISTRO and enjoy the culinary moment in your bathrobe.
REALLY eventful.
Cycling, Nordic walking, (wine) hiking, tennis or golf - the resort is an ideal starting point for moving moments, as a balance to the wellness treatments and sweet idleness. The focus is not only on movement, but also on the experience that allows you to pause and enjoy. Cyclists can rent an e-bike directly from the hotel and have countless pleasure kilometers and 14 themed cycle paths in front of their handlebars. Pleasure hikers stop between the vineyards at a wine tavern. But golfers are also in absolute pole position here, because the 18-hole course of the Bad Waltersdorf golf club welcomes them directly opposite the resort.
REAL productive.
In the SPA RESORT STYRIA you can combine work and pleasure. Discuss in a relaxed environment, realize and enjoy creative ideas - and then get active and relax together in the thermal baths and volcano country.
Centrally located, in the middle of the countryside, far away from the hustle and bustle and yet easily accessible from Graz and Vienna thanks to the excellent connection to the motorway, seminar guests can expect four fully equipped, daylight-flooded seminar rooms of different sizes, which offer space for a total of 120 bright minds. As a wellness and seminar hotel, the hotel differs from the typical sterile congress hotels and ensures that business events become even more successful and inspiring with individual support, passion, tailor-made offers and culinary breaks. That's how it works!

Come to stay: this could be the motto of the Gartenhotel Moser. We are in South Tyrol in the gentle region around the small and large Monticolo/Montiggler lakes, around 15 kilometers south of Bolzano/Bozen. While summer is celebrated at the neighboring Lake Kaltern, the two Monticolo lakes are considered insider tips for those seeking peace and quiet. At around 700 and 300 meters in length, they stand for crystal-clear water and pure idyll.
Welcome to the Gartenhotel Moser, which is located directly on the large Montiggl lake. The forest, water and garden are the defining elements of a successful vacation here. In April 2024, the garden hotel will come back to life after a comprehensive renovation. Sustainable construction methods and energy recovery, large window fronts that open up views of the surroundings and green wooden struts on the exterior façade allow the hotel to merge with nature. All public areas such as the lobby, restaurant and 18 suites have a completely new look with lots of wood, stone and warm, earthy colors. The highlight of the hotel is the new adults-only infinity pool with relaxation rooms and fitness studio on the roof.
Family-run business
The hotel has been owned by the Moser family for over 60 years. The lush gardens with winding paths, birdwatching station, hidden power spots and natural bathing pond, which invite you to relax all around, gave the hotel its name. With its location in the middle of a nature reserve, it is ideal for a short or longer break. While the neighboring Lake Kaltern is widely known as a vacation destination, the two Montiggl lakes are still real insider tips. "We are really looking forward to delighting guests again with the new Gartenhotel Moser and our unique location," says Wolfgang Moser. Together with his wife Christine, he has been running the business for around 40 years. While Wolfgang, as a visionary, is constantly driving forward new projects and offers, Christine, as hostess, enriches the hotel with her heart and passion. With her empathy for people and nature, she provides a calming influence for a feel-good atmosphere.
Welcome to Wellness
Time out with a view: The wellness highlight from 2024 is the adults-only infinity pool on the roof of the hotel. A wide range of spa and activity options with Ayurveda and yoga elements as well as a stylish sauna area complete the wellness concept.
"Sanum per aquam" - health through water is the title of the hotel's spa menu. In addition to classic massages and beauty treatments, the spa team also offers treatments in the floating lounger with algae, Himalayan salt or honey butter; special baths and a private spa suite provide moments of togetherness. Ayurvedic health treatments also enrich the spa menu: Abhyanga massages and forehead pours promote inner peace and invigoration of mind and body. Families are also very welcome at the Gartenhotel Moser. The hotel's outdoor area boasts another pool with a water slide and integrated children's pool as well as an indoor pool.
Relaxation in harmony with the elements
Thanks to its close connection with nature, the Gartenhotel Moser is a place of inspiration for mind and body. Hostess Christine Moser knows about the intensive effect of the surrounding power places and is intensively involved with local herbs and the associated medicine. She is happy to pass this knowledge on to her guests in workshops on detoxification, superfoods and medicinal plants. In addition, three yoga and meditation classes are held in the mornings five days a week. Each day of the week is dedicated to an element: on Mondays, for example, everything revolves around the theme of air with courses on correct breathing techniques. Fire, earth and water are further themes under which workshops on movement and relaxation are bundled. Cocoa ceremonies, sound baths and special meditation sessions also take place to accompany special phases of the moon. All offers take place in the Anima yoga room or in the garden or on the lakeshore. From 2024, an in-house fitness trainer will join the team and offer sunrise hikes, aqua fitness and sports classes.
Breaking new ground architecturally
For the redesign of the four-star superior garden hotel, the entire former entrance area gave way to a new, modern building. Visually, it matches the "Ramus" extension built in 2014 and forms an ensemble of several buildings. A linear structure divided into horizontal and vertical elements allows the two parts to merge into a harmonious whole. Authentic, warm and appreciative - this is how the hosts and their team treat their guests and the surrounding nature. The close interweaving with flora and fauna is reflected not only in the large garden, but also in the architecture and energy concept. Natural materials, earthy colors, green areas and a heat recovery system are evidence of a sustainable approach.
The reception and entrance hall shine in an elegant and contemporary style. All public spaces and the new rooms have been architecturally designed with fresh ideas. Functional yet elegant solutions in harmony with the forest and garden are reflected in the building structure as part of the renovation. The entire appearance of the outdoor area with green spaces, natural walkways and pond landscapes is visually adapted to the landscape.
Nature in the bedroom
Guests in the countryside: floor-to-ceiling windows were installed behind the braced façade design. The aim - to capture the surrounding panorama and bring it into the room. From the outside, beige and brown tones define the façade. A similar color scheme enriches the atmosphere in the rooms. There are also deep green tones and floral elements. All new room types have a luxurious bathing area and spacious terraces invite you to take a deep breath outdoors.
Sustainability in a nature reserve
Not only a harmonious ambience, but also a respectful approach to the environment is a major concern for the Moser family. The new building is therefore based on an ecological and sustainable construction method. When selecting the materials, Christine and Wolfang Moser paid particular attention to natural, local elements such as natural wood, stone cladding and clay plaster. In addition, the façades are clad with rhombus slats and vertical wooden elements, which serve as a trellis for plants and green the building. Due to the sensitive area in a nature reserve, bird protection glass was also used to minimize reflective surfaces. From a technological point of view, the hotel impresses with its sustainable construction and environmentally friendly energy measures. The energy supply for the entire building is recovered from the hotel's own waste water system. A special filter-exchanger system extracts the heat from the hotel waste water and uses a heat pump to bring it up to the required temperature level. Solar energy is also incorporated into the energy concept - there is a photovoltaic system in the area of the new flat roof.
Delicacies from their own farm
Farming has always been both a tradition and a passion for the Moser family. Apples, pears and grapes come from their own production. Delicious wines come from the Moser winery and beer from the family brewery, which is located directly in the wine cellar. In the three-quarter board light, which the Gartenhotel Moser offers as standard, local products play the leading role. This includes an extensive breakfast buffet and a "little light lunch" from the show kitchen with hot and cold dishes. Homemade cakes are served in the afternoon and a five-course menu in the evening. Themed specials such as barbecue evenings or fish starter buffets also surprise guests. Once a week, when the dessert buffet is served, those with a sweet tooth get their money's worth.
Active and moving
The wonderful nature that surrounds the Gartenhotel Moser is best experienced actively. Accordingly, the hotel offers numerous opportunities for time out and adventure. The hotel's own lake house with sunbathing lawn on the large Montiggl lake is ideal for swimming, stand-up paddling or canoeing. Thanks to the mild climate, the region is ideal for cycling tours or hiking excursions even in spring. Families with children can enjoy the benefits of childcare up to seven days a week. Active guests also get their money's worth outside the hotel. The area is closely linked to the South Tyrolean Wine Road, which winds through the municipality of Eppan just six kilometers away. The popular Lake Kaltern, the warmest bathing lake in the Alps, is just two kilometers away as the crow flies. Many hiking trails, from gentle to challenging, criss-cross the area. The lake hike, which completely circles the large and small Monticolo/Montiggler lakes, is particularly popular. In addition to activities such as canoeing, stand-up paddling or cycling on a mountain bike or e-bike, golf enthusiasts can pursue their passion at the Eppan, Petersberg and Sarnonico golf clubs. Vespas or a speedy Fiat 500 convertible are also available for slightly longer excursions. Tennis fans can practice their serve right in the Montiggl village, while beach volleyball and soccer can be played on the hotel grounds.
An overnight stay costs from 145 euros per person including three-quarter board.

Its secluded location at 700 meters provides the necessary distance from everyday life. Up here, surrounded by meadows and forests and a few scattered old farms, the clocks go slower. It's as if the good old days are hiding up here. You can forget the hustle and bustle and stress, they don't come up here. The Watzmann outside shows us how it's done - calmly reminding us of what's really important in life: Taking time for yourself and your loved ones. "The best times in life are the little moments when you feel that you are in the right place at the right time," is the Alpenhof motto.
At the 4-star superior hotel, you are always in the right place. This starts with the hut-style reception. Of course, the hotel has modern card keys, but there are still a few of the beautiful old key rings with the family crest hanging on the hooks. Tradition combined with modern comfort is how you could describe the style of the Alpenhof. This can also be seen in the Almbar, which has much of what is commonly understood by Bavarian coziness. The restaurant area is more elegant. Here you can enjoy the sumptuous breakfast buffet and the magnificent view outside. In the evening, there are various menus to choose from.
The comfort rooms are designed in a variety of ways, sometimes in a modern, sometimes in a classic country house style. The feel-good Sauna-Alm is really rustic, as the sauna area is reminiscent of cozy alpine huts and Stad'l. The infrared cabin made of Swiss stone pine provides gentle deep warmth, the steam bath is filled with wonderful brine and herbal mist and perhaps the best thing to do after a sauna session in the Hütt'n sauna with a view of the valley in winter is to rub yourself down with powder snow in the sheltered outdoor area. Afterwards, you can retreat to the relaxation rooms, which are designed like tunnels in a salt mine or old barns, where you can relax wonderfully. The adjoining wellness oasis offers an all-round pampering program. The various massages and treatments provide true wellness pleasure. In addition to classic massages, there are Far Eastern SPA massages, Ayurveda massages and special massages for expectant mothers. The cosmetics department uses the organic cosmetics line from Dr. Spiller, an effective skincare line from the region.
Next door in the indoor pool, you should definitely take a leisurely lap on your back and take a look at the hand-carved wooden ceiling. This ancient carpentry technique is no longer found very often. Small carvings on the pillars look very elegant - which is typical of the Alpenhof. Tradition meets modernity and rustic meets elegant. In the outdoor pool, hot meets cold, at least when it's winter and you can swim through the snow-covered landscape. The outdoor pool is heated to a pleasant 30°C all year round, as is the pleasantly warm 37°C whirlpool.
Afterwards, you can lie down in the sun pavilion, look out over the meadows and forests to the mountain peaks and relax. Here, unwinding becomes a tangible reality. And if you haven't had enough exercise while hiking, you're sure to find it in the fitness room with Techno-Gym equipment. Behind the Alpenhof is the Zapletal family. While Stefan Zapletal looks after the hotel with its 52 rooms, his wife Gabi, a trained chef, is in charge of the kitchen. But the most important thing for both of them is their staff. "We provide the frame, our employees paint the picture," says Stefan Zapletal, who is happy to have such a strong team. After all, guests should simply feel at home in this beautiful hotel in the midst of glorious nature.

It is a place of tranquillity for a time-out without haste. A hideaway. Simply switch off, let the hustle and bustle of the world pass you by and listen to the whispering of the trees - nowhere does this better than here. You can choose between the historic villa and coach house or the newly built private spa suites with absolute privacy and personal wellness.
High-quality cuisine awaits you in the 20zwanzig restaurant, while the sauna and fitness facilities invite you to relax. While the medieval half-timbered streets of Stolberg nestle along the bed of the Thyra and the narrow Lude rivers in the valley below, the Hotel & Spa Suites FreiWerk is enthroned high up on the Thyrahöhe and offers you a beautiful view, and not just from the large sun terrace.
With seven new Private Spa Suites in the Hotel & Spa Suites FreiWerk, you can enjoy exclusive moments of peace and quiet - all to yourself. Each individual Private Spa Suite in the Harz Mountains is two-storey and has a living space of around 100 m² with absolute privacy.
The spa suites are also furnished with selected works of art from the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory. Sustainability is very important to us, which is why our private spa suites are made entirely of wood from local Harz spruce. In our suites in the Harz Mountains, you can expect plenty of space, a high-quality interior and everything your wellness heart desires.
You can indulge in complete relaxation on two floors. The spacious living area, a shower room and a loggia with a fantastic view of the forest are located on the lower floor. A staircase takes you to the heart of the spa suites: In addition to a bedroom with a balcony, here you will also find the exclusive vitality area with a designer bathtub, a steam and infrared sauna with colored light play, a Finnish sauna and rain shower - it could hardly be more beautiful. In addition to the vitality area, the absolute highlight awaits you in the upper area: a secluded loggia with a cozy corner, an exclusively designed whirlpool for up to two people and a wonderful view of the forest - alone or as a couple.

In the morning the sun rises over the peaks, in the evening the lights sparkle in the valley. In this absolute top location on a sun-drenched south-facing slope above Burgeis, every corner of DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat opens up views that you will never forget, just like the warm, down-to-earth hospitality of the owner family Gerstl.
At 1,500 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy pleasant temperatures even in the warmer months, while relaxing in the open air on box seats by the 18-meter-long, year-round heated infinity pool, on cosy day beds or in the outdoor whirlpool in the sauna garden. Relax, read a good book, take a dip in one of the pools, let your gaze and thoughts wander - all of this is possible at Hotel Gerstl.
The exclusive suites also invite you to do nothing. The new 60 square meter pool suite with a private infinity pool and whirlpool, a large veranda and its own garden for undisturbed togetherness is certainly a special experience. The pleasant vacation feeling of lightness and light-heartedness spreads at the latest during a floating aperitif in the cool water.
If you do want to leave the retreat, there are hikes to nearby Switzerland, mountain bike trails, irrigation canals along historic irrigation channels or a visit to the smallest town in the Southern Alps: the medieval town of Glurns. The Gerstl team also offers daily guided excursions, from guided e-bike tours to joint forest bathing.
After a day full of activities and fresh mountain air, the evening ends with a delicious, multi-course meal. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.
The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.

With only 26 accommodation units, this luxury hideaway is one of the smallest 5-star hotels in South Tyrol. The choice ranges from stylish suites to prestigious lake-side suites with direct access to the lake and four premium villas (one of which is on two floors) surrounded by the deep blue waters of the lake. These villas feature an exclusive highlight: a large wellness terrace equipped with a Finnish sauna, a private pool with integrated whirlpool, loungers and a private hammock suspended over the water. With an extensive privacy screen guaranteeing full privacy, you can indulge and enjoy your luxury holiday to the fullest.
Back to nature – the BalanceSPA is designed to help you experience a real connection with nature and Mother Earth, restore your balance and find a new sense of harmony with yourself and others. The fine materials, soothing colours and lush plants in the relaxation rooms provide a perfect environment in which to unwind. There are also 5 treatment rooms - 4 massage and beauty rooms and 1 Private Spa Suite for romantic moments for two - where you can entrust your beauty and well-being to the capable hands of a highly skilled team. The See Lodge Spa is a temple of harmony where premium products, advanced treatments and refined techniques combine to ensure all-round well-being and inner balance.
Small but perfectly formed, the BalanceSAUNA invites guests to sit back and regenerate. As is customary at Quellenhof, facilities include a Finnish sauna (for around 35 people) with regular events and infusions, as well as a wholesome steam bath, and a biosanarium with combo loungers where you can either sit or lie down. The outdoor area features a plunge pool and a garden with relaxation corners and a view of the lake.
Guests at the Quellenhof See Lodge can enjoy access to the lake from nearly every point of the estate. The 4,500 m² bathing lake, with a length of 105m the biggest pool in South Tyrol (!) and with depth ranging from 0.5 to 1.25 metres, can be accessed for a relaxing swim from almost any point. In addition to the lake, there is also an indoor pool in the spa area, which is directly connected to the year-round heated outdoor pool (25m in length).
The right balance between tension and relaxation – or exercise and rest – is the secret to a state of inner harmony. This is why the BalanceSPA offer is complemented by the extensive range of activities and facilities of BalanceSPORT. These include a perfectly equipped fitness room with cardio and weight machines (bikes, treadmills, weight bench, kinetics equipment) for strength and conditioning training. Personal trainers are available to provide professional support. The See Lodge also features a large rooftop garden complete with relaxation loungers and a YogaROOM. To round off the offer, we also organise a rich weekly programme of sports activities in the most scenic of all gyms – the great outdoors.
Besides sports and relaxation, dining is also an essential element of inner balance. Healthy and regional, yet delectable and innovative, the BalanceCUISINE led by chef Michael Mayr provides the perfect crowning to your holiday experience. In addition to our classic panoramic lake-view restaurant, the See Lodge delights guests with an exclusive speciality restaurant, our "underwarter restaurant", serving fresh fish daily. Mâitre d’Hotel and sommelier Matteo Lattanzi shares his passion for good wines with See Lodge guests and keeps the small wine cellar filled with the finest bottles on the market. A tasting of wines and local produce is the perfect crowning to a day of indulgence!
