Sustainability, regionality, and mindful use of natural resources are lived values – from handpicked materials in the interior to products from local artisans.

In GOLDBERG’s culinary world, regionality takes center stage. The kitchen team works with fresh ingredients from local producers, bakes bread daily, smokes their own bacon, and serves creative dishes inspired by forest and meadow. Complemented by house-roasted coffee, fine wines, and honest enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere.

In summer, the Gastein Valley offers 350 kilometers of hiking trails, mountain lakes, and breathtaking summit tours. Guided hikes, yoga sessions with panoramic views, and green fees at the 18-hole Golf Club Gastein make every stay varied and memorable. In winter, skiers can start directly from the hotel into the Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel ski area – ski-in, ski-out included.

This spa resort offers a retreat in the heart of nature and a prominent location on a small, wooded headland in the county of St. Wendel with views over Lake Bostalsee. Its closeness with the surrounding region and the creative mindset of hosts Kathrin and Christian Sersch are evident throughout the entire hotel. Guided by their motto “Real beauty. Beautifully real.” the hosts have created a hotel exuding ingenuity and attention to detail that will appeal to spa-goers, sports enthusiasts, connoisseurs and lovers of culture and nature.

Awaiting guests are 97 modern rooms and suites, the Restaurant LUMI including terrace, Bar NOX with its fire lounge, a library, three conference rooms and the Seezeit Spa. The renowned Berlin-based architecture company, GRAFT, was commissioned with creating the heavily nature-inspired architecture. The interior design and lighting concept was developed by Birgit Nicolay of NICOLAY DESIGN based in Stuttgart and New York.

Local and seasonal ingredients are arranged to create visually appealing culinary delights. Pure, uncomplicated, modern - often with a twist and nuances from distant lands. As the Moselle is considered the most important wine-growing region in Germany, head chef Kristof Nemes compiles the entire menu in close collaboration with hotel manager Marcel Burbach, who is a proven wine connoisseur and lover. If you want to treat yourself to a nightcap in the evening after feasting in a sophisticated atmosphere and with lively conversation, then Betty's Bar is the place for you. Betty Langner, probably the coolest barkeeper on the Moselle, mixes the best drinks with personal finesse.

The spa suites are also furnished with selected works of art from the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory. Sustainability is very important to us, which is why our private spa suites are made entirely of wood from local Harz spruce. Our Alpine Spa, renovated in 2024, will not only impress you with vigorous swims in the 23-metre-long outdoor infinity pool with whirlpool function. You also have the choice between three large saunas, some with wonderful views of the mountains. There is also a mountain cave pool terrace and indoor pool, also with a magnificent view of the Omeshorn, the local mountain. The extended relaxation rooms also look in this direction and the Swiss stone pine room in particular increases the level of relaxation thanks to the delicate scent of this wood. The fitness room and adjoining yoga and meditation room offer space for conscious movement.

TIME TO ENJOY:
Plant-based alpine cuisine with delicious vitamin bombs, detoxing with vegan-vegetarian, alkaline and ketogenic menus, through to dishes that are familiar to us: Grandma's recipes, traditionally prepared the way we've always loved them. Whichever culinary option you choose, you are sure to find a fine wine from one of Austria's largest wine cellars to accompany it. Everything is possible - nothing is a must. In winter, you can choose from 4 restaurants (1 of them with 3 toques from Gault Millau) and 2 sun terraces as part of our Dine Around half board.

BERGZEIT:
Summer & fall:
Blooming wildflower meadows and the view of the mountain peaks let you forget everyday life at the Hotel Goldener Berg. Around 350 km of marked hiking trails as well as bike routes and climbing tours are waiting to be discovered. The Lech Golf Club has an 18-hole and a 9-hole course. A vacation at the Hotel Goldener Berg is also ideal for families, as numerous activities for young and old await you in the surrounding area. As a guest at the Goldener Berg, you can book the Lech Card from 2 days: enjoy special benefits such as free use of all cable cars, guided themed hikes, use of the local bus and much more.

Winter:
Free from the crowds, get on your skis right outside the hotel and off you go: over 300 kilometers of pistes and 200 off-piste kilometers await you in Austria's largest ski area. But even without skis, you are in good hands on the Goldener Berg: Directly from the hotel, there are many kilometers of wonderful hiking trails, cross-country ski trails or Nordic walking as well as jogging trails, which are perfectly groomed every day. All of these sports in beautiful natural surroundings are easy to learn and bring joy to the heart. The snow-covered mountain panorama around the Hotel Goldener Berg is also a perfect backdrop for mediation, alpine bathing, heart and tidal walks.

Located directly at the valley station in Grossarl, DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort is the ideal retreat for active people, those seeking relaxation and connoisseurs. The Hettegger host family is the third generation to run the luxurious resort with great warmth and commitment and ensures a personal and cozy atmosphere throughout the hotel every day.
