Your gaze wanders in amazement from top to bottom. The extraordinary wellness areafloats between the lush blue sky and the idyllic valley, eclipsing everything that has gone before.
The elegant huts, some of which are scattered upside down on the filigree platform, are reminiscent of the original alpine huts that adorn the gentle high alpine meadows in this unique region.
Heaven & Hell is the name of the spectacular, free-floating, two-storey wellness platform in steel construction, which is connected to the hotel's relaxation room via a filigree footbridge and offers guests new perspectives of well-being. The view sweeps far across the valley and mountains to the most beautiful natural wonder in the world: the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the pleasantly warm water of the lounger or seated whirlpool on the upper floor gently caresses the body, those seeking peace and quiet sink into the beauty of nature and believe they have arrived in heaven. One floor below, where gravity seems to have been defied, wellness is turned on its head. It gets really hot in hell. In addition to two saunas and a whirlpool, guests can expect a cold spray and, of course, a heavenly view of the mountains.
The Hotel Hubertus is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy freedom and reconnect with nature. Embedded in the fabulously beautiful natural surroundings, this unique hotel offers a wealth of possibilities. With a total of nine saunas and nine indoor and outdoor pools, spread across the 7,000 m² Alpenreych Park and the Heaven & Hell wellness platform, guests can enjoy a versatile wellness world - complemented by relaxation rooms and exclusive beauty and wellness treatments that harness the power of nature. Nature also plays a key role in the hotel's cuisine. The internationally oriented kitchen produces unique culinary creations that combine South Tyrolean down-to-earthness with Mediterranean lightness. Dishes are served in the modern restaurant with its spectacular view of the mountains, which entices guests to new adventures every day.
Guests are whisked away into unspoiled nature at any time of year. Hiking, mountaineering, biking, forest bathing, yoga, fitness training, skiing and tobogganing excursions, ski tours, snowshoe hikes, caterpillar rides, snowmobile rides and much more are on offer at this hotel that is close to heaven.

In the morning the sun rises over the peaks, in the evening the lights sparkle in the valley. In this absolute top location on a sun-drenched south-facing slope above Burgeis, every corner of DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat opens up views that you will never forget, just like the warm, down-to-earth hospitality of the owner family Gerstl.
At 1,500 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy pleasant temperatures even in the warmer months, while relaxing in the open air on box seats by the 18-meter-long, year-round heated infinity pool, on cosy day beds or in the outdoor whirlpool in the sauna garden. Relax, read a good book, take a dip in one of the pools, let your gaze and thoughts wander - all of this is possible at Hotel Gerstl.
The exclusive suites also invite you to do nothing. The new 60 square meter pool suite with a private infinity pool and whirlpool, a large veranda and its own garden for undisturbed togetherness is certainly a special experience. The pleasant vacation feeling of lightness and light-heartedness spreads at the latest during a floating aperitif in the cool water.
If you do want to leave the retreat, there are hikes to nearby Switzerland, mountain bike trails, irrigation canals along historic irrigation channels or a visit to the smallest town in the Southern Alps: the medieval town of Glurns. The Gerstl team also offers daily guided excursions, from guided e-bike tours to joint forest bathing.
After a day full of activities and fresh mountain air, the evening ends with a delicious, multi-course meal. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.
The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.

There is a separate ladies' sauna area with bio-sauna and loungers in the beauty pavilion. Anyone who takes a sauna, works out or swims laps naturally needs some well-earned relaxation afterwards. Comfortable loungers and double loungers with a fantastic view over the Black Forest and the beautiful sun terraces invite you to relax. There are also quiet islands for two to four people.
For more relaxation, there is a wide range of soothing treatments to choose from: massages, facial or body treatments, baths and wraps or traditional wellness rituals - alone or as a couple. The signature treatments from nature are also unique, such as special treatments with wild herbs from the Black Forest, massages with warm granite stones and fir oil or rubdowns with pine cones.
Original Ayurveda from Sri Lanka! Original Ayurveda treatments have been offered at the Vier Jahreszeiten am Schluchsee for more than 20 years. The Ayurveda center is integrated on a separate floor of the hotel and an Ayurveda doctor and specialists from Sri Lanka, the country of origin, carry out the holistic treatments. This means you can experience an Ayurveda cure with authentic treatments and experience the traditional philosophy of this millennia-old health teaching. The Ayurveda treatments, which last several days, include consultations, original Ayurveda treatments and the Ayurvedic nutritional concept. The team of therapists from Sri Lanka takes a sensitive and professional approach to the special needs and life situations of each individual guest, making each individual Ayurveda treatment a lasting pleasure.
Culinary: The aim of the Vier Jahreszeiten am Schluchsee is to offer hospitality at the highest level. This includes not only the best regional ingredients, but also imaginative creations. The legendary Vier Jahreszeiten gourmet breakfast buffet, for example, provides top-class indulgence, including a wide selection of gluten-, lactose- and dairy-free products. At lunchtime and in the afternoon, Café Gugelhupf invites you to enjoy small dishes and a large selection of cakes from the in-house patisserie. In the evening, 6-course menus with vegetarian / vegan alternatives or delicious à la carte dishes are offered in the panorama restaurant. The restaurant "Am Kachelofen" offers varied buffets with the best from the hotel's home region, the Black Forest, as part of the half-board (open depending on occupancy). In the cold winter months, the Schwiizer Stübli also opens for rustic fondue evenings. The evening ends with delicious cocktails at the carousel bar.
Sport & activity: Regardless of the season, the Black Forest offers unlimited outdoor opportunities. Whether hiking in the most beautiful natural surroundings, golfing on green meadows or cross-country skiing on well-developed trails. And if the weather doesn't play ball, the Vier Jahreszeiten am Schluchsee offers a wide range of indoor sports activities with or without supervision as well as well-equipped fitness areas. From A for entertainment to Z for informality - the hotel's guest services offer a varied program of activities and entertainment: sports and relaxation courses such as yoga or Pilates, guided hikes or e-bike tours, casino royal evenings with blackjack and roulette, quiz evenings and musical entertainment six evenings a week.
