All five senses on the fifth floor: awaken your spirits at the very top of the Bergland! The Sky Spa above the rooftops of Sölden is breathtaking. A 2,200 m² wellness retreat with a constant view of the mountains surrounding Sölden. The local mountain, Nederkogl, a three-thousand-meter peak, greets bathers in the indoor pool as well as in the panoramic outdoor whirlpool. Here you can swim in revitalized Grander water, which is also used throughout the hotel to refresh body and soul.

The sauna area with Finnish sauna, steam bath, bio sauna and textile sauna is a hot spot in the truest sense of the word. Cool down and relax in the varied relaxation and rest areas. Skin contact with nature is the order of the day here: relaxing in the "Heustadel" is a feast for the senses amidst fragrant hay beds filled with hay from the hotel's own farm.

"Signature Treatment" is the formula for inner and outer beauty at "Sky Beauty". There are no standardized treatments, only individual cosmetic and therapeutic applications. The program is put together after a detailed initial consultation and fits the guest's personal needs like the proverbial key to a lock. A fitness room, equipped with Techno Gym machines, as well as a gym and yoga room perfect the interplay of tension and relaxation.

The gourmet worlds at Bergland are divided into the hotel restaurant with 190 seats and the à la carte restaurant "Wine & Dine". The hotel restaurant, with its many cozy seating niches and parlors, presents itself as a two-level pleasure retreat. The direct location of our hotel on the lake invites you to go for walks and sporty outdoor activities, and our area is directly adjacent to the 18-hole course of the Schloss Haag golf club. The city of Geldern is located in North Rhine-Westphalia in close proximity to the Dutch border. Trips to the neighboring country are therefore possible spontaneously - also by bike, because the Lower Rhine is a paradise for cyclists.
In the See Park Terrassen restaurant, particular emphasis is placed on freshness and top quality. Regional specialties and vitality cuisine form the focus of the seasonally changing menu.
The special location of the hotel on the lake offers the perfect ambience to find inner balance and leave everyday life behind. All hotel areas offer a clear view of the Lower Rhine landscape. This also applies to the exclusive SPA area, to which over 8,000 square meters are reserved. With hiking routes of altitudes between 300 and 3.000 meters, Algund offers something to mountain pros as well as hobby hikers.
Many relaxation areas for couples and families can be found at Das Dorner.  The infinity pool on the roof terrace (adults only), the outdoor pool in the palm garden and the indoor pool provide the necessary refreshment.

At 1,500 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy pleasant temperatures even in the warmer months, while relaxing in the open air on box seats by the 18-meter-long, year-round heated infinity pool, on cosy day beds or in the outdoor whirlpool in the sauna garden. Relax, read a good book, take a dip in one of the pools, let your gaze and thoughts wander - all of this is possible at Hotel Gerstl.

The exclusive suites also invite you to do nothing. The new 60 square meter pool suite with a private infinity pool and whirlpool, a large veranda and its own garden for undisturbed togetherness is certainly a special experience. After a day full of activities and fresh mountain air, the evening ends with a delicious, multi-course meal. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.

The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.
