Its secluded location at 700 meters provides the necessary distance from everyday life. Up here, surrounded by meadows and forests and a few scattered old farms, the clocks go slower. It's as if the good old days are hiding up here. You can forget the hustle and bustle and stress, they don't come up here. The Watzmann outside shows us how it's done - calmly reminding us of what's really important in life: Taking time for yourself and your loved ones. At the 4-star superior hotel, you are always in the right place. This starts with the hut-style reception. Of course, the hotel has modern card keys, but there are still a few of the beautiful old key rings with the family crest hanging on the hooks. Tradition combined with modern comfort is how you could describe the style of the Alpenhof. This can also be seen in the Almbar, which has much of what is commonly understood by Bavarian coziness. The restaurant area is more elegant. Here you can enjoy the sumptuous breakfast buffet and the magnificent view outside. In the evening, there are various menus to choose from.

The comfort rooms are designed in a variety of ways, sometimes in a modern, sometimes in a classic country house style. The feel-good Sauna-Alm is really rustic, as the sauna area is reminiscent of cozy alpine huts and Stad'l. The infrared cabin made of Swiss stone pine provides gentle deep warmth, the steam bath is filled with wonderful brine and herbal mist and perhaps the best thing to do after a sauna session in the Hütt'n sauna with a view of the valley in winter is to rub yourself down with powder snow in the sheltered outdoor area. Afterwards, you can retreat to the relaxation rooms, which are designed like tunnels in a salt mine or old barns, where you can relax wonderfully. The adjoining wellness oasis offers an all-round pampering program. The various massages and treatments provide true wellness pleasure. In addition to classic massages, there are Far Eastern SPA massages, Ayurveda massages and special massages for expectant mothers. The cosmetics department uses the organic cosmetics line from Dr. Spiller, an effective skincare line from the region.

Next door in the indoor pool, you should definitely take a leisurely lap on your back and take a look at the hand-carved wooden ceiling. This ancient carpentry technique is no longer found very often. Small carvings on the pillars look very elegant - which is typical of the Alpenhof. Tradition meets modernity and rustic meets elegant. In the outdoor pool, hot meets cold, at least when it's winter and you can swim through the snow-covered landscape. The outdoor pool is heated to a pleasant 30°C all year round, as is the pleasantly warm 37°C whirlpool.

Afterwards, you can lie down in the sun pavilion, look out over the meadows and forests to the mountain peaks and relax. Here, unwinding becomes a tangible reality. And if you haven't had enough exercise while hiking, you're sure to find it in the fitness room with Techno-Gym equipment. Behind the Alpenhof is the Zapletal family. While Stefan Zapletal looks after the hotel with its 52 rooms, his wife Gabi, a trained chef, is in charge of the kitchen. But the most important thing for both of them is their staff. "We provide the frame, our employees paint the picture," says Stefan Zapletal, who is happy to have such a strong team. After all, guests should simply feel at home in this beautiful hotel in the midst of glorious nature.

Five days a week, we invite you on a special culinary journey of discovery through ...liebes Rot-Flüh, where you can dine in our restaurants at no extra charge. Start your day with an unobstructed view of Lake Haldensee in our breakfast room. The aroma of fresh bread and pastries fills the air. Our breakfast chef will prepare eggs from happy chickens from the region for you or you can try our deliciously healthy porridge, which provides plenty of energy despite being low in calories. At lunchtime, you can dine in the Grotto Vale Pino or on the pool terrace, where quality Alpine products are prepared with plenty of Mediterranean sophistication. In the afternoon, you can enjoy coffee and a variety of cakes from our in-house patisserie in the Montanara Hall. In the evening, you have a free choice between gastronomic excellence in "La Cascata nobile" or a delicious 3-course menu, which you can select from our a la carte menu in the "Via Mala" experience restaurant. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.

A historic rural building complex that has been transformed into a luxurious and refined location. Inaugurated in 2008, the hotel was renovated in collaboration with the designers of the Botturi architectural firm, using high-quality, prestigious materials and furnishings by the most renowned contemporary designers.

The restoration work highlights the beautiful Italian post-Renaissance style: the frescoed walls, the precious marble stones, the barrel vaults and the wooden beamed ceilings. The harmonious construction of red brick and white natural stone conveys an impression of balance and joy, while the modern design furnishings bring out the energy and vitality of the individual rooms, from the hotel bar to the conference rooms, from the entrance hall to the bedrooms.
