At Tuberis, we not only work on your special moments of relaxation every day, but also try to cultivate a sustainable lifestyle in a variety of ways and with full conviction. We achieve this, among other things, with our photovoltaic system, which supplies us with electricity from the sun. We also use Venosta wood as a source of heat in the wood chip system, obtain many of our groceries directly from our own garden or cattle shed and for the rest we try to use zero-kilometer products whenever possible.

Inaugurated in 2008, the hotel was renovated in collaboration with the designers of the Botturi architectural firm, using high-quality, prestigious materials and furnishings by the most renowned contemporary designers.

The restoration work highlights the beautiful Italian post-Renaissance style: the frescoed walls, the precious marble stones, the barrel vaults and the wooden beamed ceilings. For all their innovative spirit, the Gerstl family relies on tried and tested dishes: the hotel's regionally oriented cuisine, which sources its products from the surrounding area to support the farmers in the valley and protect the environment with short transportation routes, is already a tradition. Once a week on r30 Day, all ingredients even come from within a radius of no more than thirty kilometers - this is when the creativity of head chef Michael Ziernheld and his team is particularly in demand. It is clear how much everyone is behind this concept. When the first elderflowers can be harvested in early summer, for example, fresh blossoms from many of the employees' gardens are brought to the hotel for processing. Fruit, herbs and berries are also grown locally by the GERSTL Unique team. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of the Gerstl's gourmet workshop, you can do so at the weekly kitchen party. Here, culinary delights are celebrated in a special way and guests are invited to watch the chefs prepare dinner and collect the delicacies from the kitchen in person. If that's not enough, book an exclusive evening at Gerstl's Chef's Table in the middle of the action in the hotel kitchen.

The extent to which the family is rooted in the region is illustrated not only by the r30 philosophy in the food, but also by its continuation in other areas: Building materials are sourced locally wherever possible and are processed by local craftspeople, the cosmetic products are made from regional ingredients and even the staff almost all come from within a radius of just 30 kilometers.
